Update: Severe thunderstorm warning previously issued for Kent County will expire at 5:30 p.m. EDT
At 5:14 p.m. EDT on Monday, the National Weather Service issued an updated severe thunderstorm warning in effect until 5:30 p.m. EDT for Kent County.Be ready for quarter-sized hail (1 inch) and wind gusts of up to 60 mph.
NY weather update: The current severe thunderstorm warning will be expiring at 5:15 p.m.
The warning was for Jefferson and Oswego counties."The storms which prompted the warning have weakened somewhat and mostly exited the warned area. Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire. This being said, another Severe Thunderstorm Warning remains in effect for Southeastern Jefferson and Northeastern Oswego counties until 6 p.m.," states the National Weather Service.
