Upcoming trail closures at Puntledge River Recreation Area part of multi-year upgrades project

Several trails within Puntledge River Recreation Area will be closed starting this summer into the fall amid construction work, according to BC Hydro. Starting June 9, crews will be at the recreation area outside Courtenay resurfacing trails and replacing aging bridges, culverts and boardwalks, “extending the life of the trails and making them safer,” BC Hydro says in a news release Tuesday.
