- The girl was coerced to travel from Prayagraj to Delhi and then Thrissur, Kerala, pressured to convert to Islam, introduced to radical individuals, and escaped to alert police at Thrissur Railway Station.
- DCP Kuldeep Singh Gunawat confirmed the arrest of Bano and Kaif, and disclosed that three specialized police teams have been established to probe a Kerala-based network exploiting vulnerable Dalit girls. He also revealed that the victim suffered molestation during the ordeal involving Kaif.
- The girl is currently being cared for at a One Stop Centre in Prayagraj, while investigations continue to dismantle the interstate gang led by Taj Mohammad, with authorities committed to apprehending and prosecuting all individuals involved.
