United Airlines debuts new Dreamliner aircraft interior
- United Airlines unveiled its new Polaris Studio business-class-plus suites on Tuesday, to debut on upcoming Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners based in San Francisco.
- This launch follows nearly a decade since United introduced Polaris and reflects rising competition as other U.S. Airlines also offer business-class-plus products.
- Each 787-9 will have eight Polaris Studio suites arranged in a 1-2-1 layout with larger living spaces, companion ottomans, privacy doors, and 27-inch 4K OLED screens.
- United also plans to upgrade 56 standard Polaris seats with sliding doors and 19-inch screens and will introduce the Elevate interior on San Francisco international routes in early 2026.
- These enhancements signal United's ongoing investment in premium travel despite operational challenges, with CEO Scott Kirby calling this "just the start of much more to come" toward making the best airline.
