Madagascar celebrated yesterday the 65th anniversary of its independence with a military parade at the Barea-Mahamasina stadium in Antananarivo. Around 4,000 Malagasy soldiers participated, alongside fifty Chinese soldiers and some 20 French soldiers. In his traditional speech of 26 June, President Andry Rajoelina especially exalted the love of the homeland, without mentioning the difficulties that the country faces.
