Union wants quick change at the top of Deutsche Bahn

The time of Richard Lutz as head of the railway should soon be over. Union and SPD want a new start in the leadership of the federal company.

The coalition agreement between the CDU, CSU, and SPD stipulates that there should be a personnel "reshuffle" at the top of Deutsche Bahn. The CDU/CSU is now making it clear that this should happen quickly. The Deutsche Bahn leadership has promised a lot but delivered little.

CDU and CSU are calling for a new start at Deutsche Bahn. Ulrich Lange, the vice-president of the political group, wants to streamline the Executive Board by a third. Little of what was promised has been implemented.

The political pressure on Deutsche Bahn's Chief Executive Officer, Lutz, is increasing.

In the coalition agreement, Union and SPD argue for more expertise in DB Group management. According to CSU, corresponding personnel decisions are to be made quickly.
