Union Minister Orders Temporary Closure of All NUG Educational Institutions as Airstrikes by the Myanmar Military Council Worsen - Khit Thit Media

In much of Myanmar, children are currently out of school. Nearly 6,000 schools have been closed as a precaution against airstrikes by the military regime. These are schools under the control of the Government of National Unity (NUG), the parallel government established by ousted politicians after the 2021 coup. All the schools are located in areas controlled by the resistance against the junta.

Yangon, May 26: As the airstrikes by the Military Council of Terror escalated, NUG Union Minister for Education Dr. Zaw Wai Soe issued a directive yesterday to temporarily close all schools under the National Unity Government-NUG.
