United Nations, Jul 11 (Latin Press) The number of children treated for severe acute malnutrition in Darfur, Sudan, increased by 46 percent between January and May of this year, compared to the same period in 2024, alerted today Unicef. The number of severely malnourished children in Sudan's North Darfur state, where civil war continues to rage, has doubled in a year, the UN Children's Fund (Unicef) said today. The war, which broke out in April 2023, has killed tens of thousands of people across the country and displaced more than 14 million.
