NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Right-handed pitcher Colton Shaw was chosen by the Seattle Mariners with the 17th pick of the seventh round of the Major League Baseball Draft on Monday. Shaw, the second Ivy Leaguer taken in this year's draft, is the 44th Yale player selected in MLB Draft history – including 39 since 1993. The Texas native went 212th overall.
