Pair of Britain's Rarest Birds Successfully Breed for the First Time in Years
ENGLAND, JUL 29 – Four Montagu’s Harrier chicks have fledged at a protected nest after six years without breeding in the UK, aided by farmer and Royal Society for the Protection of Birds efforts.
- At an undisclosed English site, the UK’s rarest breeding birds bred after an absence of six years, producing four chicks, according to the RSPB.
- As the species was placed on the red list, a pair of the rarest breeding birds successfully raised four chicks at a secret location in England for the first time since 2019.
