The first European-gauge railway section was opened in the Transcarpathian region of Ukraine at the end of last week, connecting Uzhhorod and the border railway junction in the settlement of Chop.
The first newly built section of the Chop — Uzhgorod Euroline was opened in Ukraine. This is 22 km of European standard track, which for the first time connected the Ukrainian regional center with the EU transport system.
The first new Eurogauge section, Chop - Uzhgorod, was opened in Ukraine. The next step will be the construction of a route from Lviv.
