Ukrainian Drone Strikes Kill 1 and Spark Fire at Oil Facility in Russia
One person was killed and nine were wounded in Oryol, while a separate strike set fuel storage ablaze in Yaroslavl, officials said.
On Sunday, Ukrainian drone strikes killed one person and wounded nine in Oryol, while a separate attack ignited fuel storage facilities in Yaroslavl, roughly 440 miles from the Ukrainian border.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said his forces struck the Yaroslavl facility because it provided "an oil facility that was important for the reserve of the aggressor state," intensifying Kyiv's recent campaign.
Oryol Governor Andrei Klychkov confirmed the residential strike, while local authorities in the Bryansk region reported another fatal drone attack on Sunday, deepening the impact of Kyiv's campaign.
