University of Alabama Million Dollar Band Selected to Perform in 2026 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

On Thursday, Nov. 26, 2026, the University of Connecticut Marching Band, the Pride of Connecticut, will perform in the 100th Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.
Selected from more than 100 applicants, the UConn band was named one of 10 marching bands to appear in the 2026 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Marking a milestone, the University of Alabama's 'Million Dollar Band' will perform at the 2026 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, their first in recent history, Malcolm Jones noted.
Broadcast live on NBC and Peacock from 8:30 a.m. to noon eastern time, the parade reached 3 million spectators in New York City and over 31 million viewers nationwide in 2024.
Macy's will provide financial support by awarding a $10,000 grant per selected band to kick-start fundraising and help fund travel, with local Macy's representatives presenting checks as examples.
