The restrictions on the U3 line between Spichernstraße and Wittenbergplatz due to tunnel damage are lasting longer than previously expected. The Berlin Transport Authority (BVG) announced that the section will be closed to subway traffic until next week. Replacement buses will continue to run there. "In order to precisely determine and repair the damage, part of the Spichernstraße roadway must be reopened," the company explained.

Passengers on Berlin's U3 line will have to schedule more time around Spichernstraße station in the next few days. A damaged tunnel will probably remain closed until next week.
