- On Sunday, two men died of asphyxiation while cleaning a sewage treatment plant tank at Eldeco Society in Noida's Sector 150. Shashikant Sharma, a 40-year-old resident of Rajasthan's Karauli district, and Akash, a 22-year-old security guard from Firozabad, succumbed to toxic fumes inside the tank.
- Sharma entered the tank to clean it but lost consciousness inside. Akash then entered in an attempt to rescue Sharma but also fell unconscious, according to police.
- Police and fire service personnel reached the scene and rescued both men from the tank, rushing them to Kailash Hospital. Doctors declared both victims dead during treatment.
- Knowledge Park police registered an FIR and arrested contractor Manoj Jain following the deaths. Authorities also detained four people for questioning as part of the ongoing investigation.
- Akash, a Firozabad native who lived in Kundli, had worked at the site for nearly three months. Colleagues remembered him as a "young energetic soul" who was disciplined and eager to learn.
