Two more police officers dismissed over Charing Cross conduct
PC Mason O'Connor and PC Lloyd Hunter were found to have breached professional standards and will be added to the College of Policing’s barred list.
The Metropolitan Police dismissed two Charing Cross officers following an undercover BBC Panorama investigation. Commander Simon Messinger stated, "Two more officers have now been dismissed for their appalling comments and attitudes."
These dismissals follow a "proactive wider investigation" launched after the Panorama documentary aired in October 2025, examining conduct at Charing Cross beyond officers featured in the original broadcast.
Mason Connor was sacked after telling a female colleague, "I hope you get raped on your way to Waterloo." Lloyd Hunter was dismissed after hearings proved he suggested he "hated" homeless people and enjoyed using force.
Both officers were added to the College of Policing barred list, preventing them from re-joining policing or working for related bodies. Hearings confirmed they breached professional standards regarding authority, respect, and equality.
The IOPC investigation into other Charing Cross officers continues, reviewing extra unaired footage from the undercover documentary shared with the agency. Officials confirmed the Met is supporting this ongoing probe.
