Search under way for boy, 3, missing at playground

Emergency services and residents are searching for the missing 3-year-old after police said more than 100 people joined the effort.

  • On Tuesday at 3pm, three-year-old Noah went missing from a playground at Merriam Close in Brantham, wearing a white Bluey T-shirt, shorts, and white trainers.
  • Noah is believed to have run down an alleyway toward a new-build housing estate; Suffolk Police have urged residents to check gardens and sheds, asking anyone with sightings to contact them quoting CAD 203 of September 15.
  • More than 100 volunteers joined the search Tuesday evening, while an HM Coastguard helicopter circled the River Stour and Darren Debenham of DK-9 reported receiving 148 calls from members of the public.
  • Brantham Parish Council announced a temporary pause in the search Tuesday night, with a spokesperson stating, "It's time to stand down for tonight" after being overwhelmed by community support.
  • Residents can report sightings through the Suffolk Constabulary website or by calling 101, while in an emergency, members of the public are advised to call 999 immediately as search efforts resume in the morning.
