Three Arrested After Two Cyclists Die in Crash
Kent Police said two men and a woman were arrested as officers investigated a crash that left one cyclist hospitalized and closed the road.
A white Ford Focus collided with three cyclists on Sole Street in Cobham near Gravesend at 07:50 BST on Sunday, September 6, 2026, killing two riders.
Emergency services confirmed a man in his 60s and a woman in her 50s died at the scene near the junction with Round Street; the third cyclist sustained minor injuries.
Kent Police arrested three people following the collision: two men aged 20 and 21 on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, and a 19-year-old woman on suspicion of assisting an offender.
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for Witnesses, Motorists with dashcam equipment, and residents with private CCTV to contact the force with information.
