Two arrested after Saanich drug probe uncovers fentanyl, meth, GHB and stolen goods

Police seized about $55,000 in drugs and $25,000 in stolen property, and investigators expect to recommend drug-trafficking charges.

  • On May 15, Saanich Police Department executed two search warrants at a residence in the 400 block of Dupplin Road and a connected storage locker, seizing approximately three kilograms of fentanyl, cocaine and methamphetamine along with 10 litres of GHB valued at $55,000.
  • The warrants stemmed from extensive proactive policing by Patrol Division officers in the Midtown area with Street Crime Unit support targeting suspected drug trafficking activity.
  • Two individuals were arrested during the search and later released pending investigation; officers also recovered $25,000 in stolen property including heat pumps, air conditioners, generators and lawn mowers with the rightful owner identified.
  • Both arrested individuals remain released as Saanich Police continue their investigation, with stolen property set to be returned to its identified owner.
  • Patrol Division officers and the Street Crime Unit anticipate recommending several drug trafficking-related charges as their investigation proceeds.
