Officers of the Central Anticorruption Bureau detained a TVN24 journalist on Friday. Mateusz W. was taken to the District Prosecutor's Office in Wrocław, where he was charged. They concern participation in an organized criminal group. At the request of investigators, the court decided to temporarily arrest him for a period of three months.

TVN responds to the detention of its journalist Mateusz W. by the CBA. "In connection with the charges brought against our employee, we made an immediate decision to suspend him from his official duties until the matter is resolved," we read in a statement.

Mateusz W., a presenter associated with the TVN24 station, was detained by officers of the Central Anticorruption Bureau and temporarily arrested for a period of three months, Wirtualna Polska reports. The journalist's detention is related to the ongoing investigation into the activities of an organized crime group, in which the former police commander Zbigniew M. is also a suspect.
