Tehran's negotiating team is suspending "discussions and exchanges of texts through intermediaries," reported Tasnim News Agency.
- President Donald Trump indicated the United States might remain "silent" on talks, telling CNBC he found the process "boring." Trump also claimed any troops moving toward Beirut had already been turned back.
- Markets reacted to the suspension with oil prices rising more than 2%, as Tehran threatened to restrict access to the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian state media warned that established orders there could "prevail in the Bab al-Mandab."
