At around 7:30 a.m., a truck with a load too high struck a bridge at the height of Aalter (Eastern Flanders), the Flemish traffic centre was reported. The right-hand strip of the motorway, in the direction of Ghent and Brussels, was closed to traffic for the time to examine the damage.
