Tropical Storm Bertha arrives later than expected in Galveston County
Though tropical storm-force winds hadn’t arrived by late Thursday, sustained wind speeds of 30 mph to 40 mph remained a possibility throughout the remainder of Galveston County’s tropical storm warning, which was scheduled to end at 6 a.m. Friday.
