On Monday, 27 October, the trial of Abdallah Osman-Ahmed, accused of murders and attempted assassinations in connection with a terrorist enterprise, was opened in front of the specially composed court. The 38-year-old Sudanese is facing life imprisonment for the acts committed on 4 April 2020 in Romans-sur-Isère (Drôme): a murderous journey through the city centre that claimed the lives of two people and seriously wounded five others.
On the second day of the trial of the attack on Romans-sur-Isère was devoted to the investigation. The officer of the Directorate-General for Internal Security (DGSI) and the investigator of the Counter-Terrorism Branch (SDAT) were heard by the Special Assize Court, which judges Abdallah Osman Ahmed.
