Tree Branches Break Gas Meters, Causing Leak Outside Condos

Branches of a tree toppled onto gas meters in front of a Riverside condominium complex Friday, triggering a gas leak that prompted evacuation of multiple units. The leak was reported at 3:30 p.m. Friday in the 1400 block of Everton Place, just west of the UC Riverside campus, according to the Riverside Fire Department. Capt.
