Tre Kronor swept aside by Latvia – fourth consecutive World Cup victory

Tre Kronor is getting a major boost. William Karlsson, 32, is joining the World Cup, reports Hockeynews.

Sweden has started the World Cup on home ice with a flawless record. On Wednesday evening, they won their fourth consecutive group stage victory: 6–0 against Latvia. “We have had to fight for it,” says national team captain Sam Hallam.

Latvia was on the defensive for just over half of the match.

The Latvian national ice hockey team suffered an unexpected big defeat at the World Cup when they lost to Sweden 0:6 at the Avicii Arena in Stockholm.
