- On June 30, Brent Slough, a former Army Ranger, was snorkeling with his two daughters just offshore in the Bahamas when a small motorboat ran over him, nearly slicing off his lower half.
- Last month, Brent Slough took his family on a trip to the Bahamas when a small motorboat struck him and fled; officials briefly detained then released the three operators.
- After insufficient care in Exuma and Nassau, Brent Slough was airlifted to a Miami ICU where he has undergone two surgeries so far, including one last week for wounds too deep to suture.
