On Tuesday, January 7, SNCF Voyageurs announced an average increase of 1.5% in ticket prices for TGV journeys in 2025.
As of Wednesday, SNCF train ticket prices will increase by 1.5% for the year 2025. An increase “limited to inflation” according to SNCF Voyageurs.
The trains had a record occupancy rate in 2024. For this year, SNCF Voyageurs is raising ticket prices as of Wednesday, January 8. First price tickets will be spared, with the increase concentrated on the most expensive seats.
The railway company has just announced a rise in prices “at the level of inflation expected in 2025”. An “increase necessary to finance investments”, pleads the management.
The railway company is once again applying a tariff increase in 2025, to cover the increase in its costs. While being aware that after three years of successive increases, it will not be able to go any further.
