‘Transformational’ project would strengthen Nunavut’s connection to the rest of Canada, proponents say

Ottawa is expected to announce its second list of nation-building infrastructure projects within the next month. One of the proposals is the $3-billion Kivalliq Hydro-Fibre Link, which would start in Manitoba and connect western Nunavut to electric grids and high-speed internet.
