Toyota will join Tesla's electric vehicle charging network and adopt Tesla connector in future EVs

  • Starting in 2025, owners of Toyota and Lexus electric vehicles in North America will be able to charge on Tesla's network and use Tesla's EV connector, thanks to an agreement between the two companies. Toyota will also adopt Tesla's North American Charging Standard plug.
  • Tesla's Supercharger network, coveted for its prime locations and large number of fast-charging plugs, is moving closer to becoming the industry standard. Ford, General Motors, Rivian, and Volvo Cars have also signed deals with Tesla to join its charging network.
  • Hyundai and Kia will begin offering NACS ports on their EVs starting next year, joining the growing number of automakers adopting Tesla's charging standard.
