Tomáš Baťa was born 150 years ago. He was hyperactive and meticulous about efficiency, thanks to which he built a concern spread across 56 countries and 38 industries. However, he also knew failure and fatigue from work, from which he could not escape even in his free time.
Tomáš Baťa went down in history as the founder of a shoemaking empire that far outgrew the borders of Czechoslovakia and is still in operation today.
