The International Monetary Fund (IMF) assessed that the tokenization of financial assets “possesses the potential to bring about a transformation in financial markets.” The IMF held a joint event with the Bank of Korea on the 8th at the Bank of Korea Annex in Jung-gu, Seoul, and presented a report titled ‘Expanding Tokenization: New Efficiency and Vulnerability’ containing these findings.
The International Monetary Fund assessed that as the global real asset token securities market grows nearly fourfold annually, there is an urgent need to establish international legislation and payment system standards to protect investors and prevent market disputes.
