- Lab analysis revealed adulteration with chloral hydrate, alprazolam, and diazepam to increase toddy's potency, causing poisoning and fatalities in Kukatpally.
- Lab analysis confirmed harmful substances in toddy; 31 patients treated at NIMS, six at Gandhi Hospital, seven at private hospitals.
- Following the deaths, the Telangana Excise Department launched an investigation and warned the public to seek immediate medical help if symptoms appear.
- Meanwhile, the Telangana Human Rights Commission directed the Revenue Department to submit a detailed report on the adulteration incident by August 20.
