27 Maoists Surrender Before Police in Ranchi

The Maoists, wanted in multiple cases, laid down arms as police said 22 were killed, 44 arrested and 29 surrendered in 2026.

  • On Thursday, 27 Maoists surrendered to police in Ranchi under Operation Navjeevan before Jharkhand DGP Tadasha Mishra. The ultras, belonging to the banned CPI , laid down arms before senior officers of Jharkhand Police, Jharkhand Jaguar, and CRPF.
  • Security forces reported that 2026 operations resulted in 22 Maoists killed, 44 arrested, and 29 surrendered. These figures mark the State's intensified efforts to eliminate extremism across Jharkhand.
