Researchers at TU Delft have developed a new navigation system for drones based on the behavior of honeybees. The system, Bee-Nav, enables small drones to find their way back independently with very little memory and computing power. The system already works very well in greenhouses, but there is still a lot of work to be done for outdoor applications.
