He had a contract until 2028, but after the team's poor performances, the traditional hegemon of the German handball Bundesliga had no choice and had to dismiss coach Filip Jícha. But that doesn't mean that the former Czech representative left THW Kiel, where he spent a total of 16 years, in bad shape. The club prepared a farewell worthy of a legend for him after Saturday's victory over TSV Hannover-Burgdorf (29:26).
With 33 titles, Filip Jicha is the most successful "Zebra" in the club history of the THW Kiel. Despite the exemption in the summer, the ex-trainer was dignified. His counterfeit now hangs under the roof of the hall.
