Under the motto "Let's get to work!", the new three-party coalition in the Netherlands has presented its coalition agreement – but designated Prime Minister Jetten still lacks a parliamentary majority. By Ludger Kazmierczak.
Former ASML CEO Peter Wennink believes that coalition parties D66, VVD, and CDA "listened carefully" to the recommendations in his influential report from late last year on future prosperity in the Netherlands. "I see a lot of overlap. It's a bit less concrete, but I understand that as a minority government," Wennink said during the State of Dutch Tech event in The Hague.
The coalition parties D66, CDA and VVD are pulling away a large part of the social safety net among working people in the Netherlands.
