Thomas Skinner returns to BBC The Apprentice for Christmas specials
- The BBC has announced two Celebrity Apprentice Christmas specials airing later this year on BBC One and iPlayer, hosted by Lord Alan Sugar with a 12-celebrity cast.
- Sent to Lapland, the celebrity candidates split into two teams to create gingerbread biscuits, produce adverts and jingles, then pitch their products at the retail pitch stage.
- Among the contestants are AJ Odudu, Charlie Hedges, Eddie Kadi, Jake Wood, Kadeena Cox and Rob Rinder, who created `Jolly McTrouble` with festive icing, and Angela Scanlon, JB Gill, Matt Morsia, Sarah Hadland, Shazia Mirza and Tom Skinner, who devised `Gary the Penguin` with lemon, bubble‑gum and white pepper, with purchases helping BBC Children in Need.
- From Friday, November 14, shoppers can buy celebrity-designed biscuits nationwide at Asda, Tesco, Boots, Debenhams, One Stop, Ocado Retail and Amazon Online, with purchases helping to support BBC Children in Need.
- Lord Alan Sugar noted `It’s the first ever time on The Celebrity Apprentice that the public can buy products that were created by the celebrity candidates,` with Santa Claus adding pressure as contestants face his 'naughty list'.
