COLLEGE STATION, Texas — UND freshman Ethan Thomas, a Grand Forks Central product, now owns the best finish at the NCAA West Preliminaries in the shot put in UND history. Thomas finished 35th in the shot put with a toss of 57 feet, 11.25 inches.
