This nurse has had to rescue clients 'abducted' by unscrupulous NDIS providers

Summary by Ground News
NDIS providers do not need to register with the regulator, the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, meaning that anyone can become an NDIS provider. A cottage industry has emerged where NDIS providers can convince vulnerable people to sign up with them and then lure them away to live in rented accommodation. They can then take their NDIS funding which is sometimes worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, and provide few services, if any, in return. There are around 4,000 people living in boarding houses in Victoria, a type of boarding house, are particularly vulnerable to unscrupulous people who become providers.
