Hundreds of holy books burned in the arson attack on the ancient synagogue of the Sadygora Hasidic community in Chernivtsi were buried in a special ceremony. "The anti-Semitic arsonist made sure to burn down our entire ancient and magnificent synagogue," said a Jewish resident of the city. "He came to make a pogrom for us like Kristallnacht," he said with a heavy heart.
