I managed to secure permission from the Moose Pond Club to access their land for an SAR attempt on my lost equipment. Many, many thanks to them; it meant that I didn’t need to hike 1.3 miles then bushwhack 2.3 further miles just to start the search. Taking advantage of the excellent weather forecast, my alarm was set to 3:15
