It has been a week since two attacks by the Islamic and Muslim Support Group (Jnim), linked to al-Qaeda, claimed the lives of 54 Beninese soldiers in the north of the country. The Islamic Union of Benin (UIB) and other associations severely condemned the carnage of 17 February.
