Suez Canal Authority Chairman Osama Rabie said on Saturday that the restoration of stability in the Red Sea is reshaping maritime navigation and reopening the door for major shipping lines to return to their traditional passage through the Suez Canal.
Lieutenant General Osama Rabie, Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority, announced the Suez Canal's readiness to receive giant container ships. This came during his inspection of navigation through the canal from aboard the giant container ship CMA CGM JULES VERNE, which was transiting the canal as part of the southbound convoy, coming from Singapore and heading to Lebanon, after safely passing through the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab Strait.
