The Scottish Government, cross compliance and muirburn - the case of the North Morar estate

Many years ago a friend of mine who was at the time the village cop in Lesmahagow charged a landowner or his staff with illegal muirburn. I can’t remember any details but I was just wondering if anyone else has been charged these last 3 decades as it seems to be a practice that is regulated only in theory. Meanwhile in the Cairgorms you can’t use a portable barbecue during the summer.
