The rise in early colon cancer worries doctors, who are unaware of the causes: "Change is brutal"

Colorectal cancer, of which World Day is celebrated this Monday, is the most diagnosed tumor in Spain, with more than 44,200 cases recorded in 2024 and more than 44,500 new estimates for 2025, according to data from the Spanish Society of Medical Oncology (SEOM) and the Spanish Network of Cancer Records (Netcan). For every two cases of colon and rectal cancer in women, three are diagnosed in men.
