Although it is not yet entirely clear whether the Ministry of Defense will actually purchase up to 250 new eight-wheeled armored vehicles for the Czech Army for tens of billions of crowns, two main potential competitors have already emerged on the market. The favorites are Finland's Patria with its proven AMV XP vehicle and the domestic Tatra Defence Vehicle (TDV) with its brand new generation Pandur EVO.
"I don't know where the information came from that the army doesn't want the Supacat vehicle. The army still wants this vehicle," Karel Řehka, Chief of the General Staff, told MPs.
