In the third reading, the Parliament of Georgia adopted amendments to the Law on Freedom of Expression and Expression and the Code of Civil Procedure. The law, inter alia, changes the definition of defamation. If in the current version of the law defamation was intended to cause harm, this part has now been deleted, and defamation will be considered "a statement containing a substantially false fact and a false name".
