The opposition’s claims that the decision to cancel the diplomas of Ekrem İmamoğlu and 27 other people was not signed by the deans and that the decision was not taken unanimously were denied. According to information obtained from Istanbul University Rectorate sources, the decision to cancel the diplomas in question was taken unanimously by the 21-member board of directors, consisting of 17 faculty deans, 3 independent members and the rector.

Another lie by the CHP, which tried to change the agenda with unfounded allegations in order to stir up a fire over Ekrem İmamoğlu, whose diploma was canceled due to an irregular horizontal transfer, was denied by Istanbul University.
