"A real breath of oxygen": after a black year, farmers can apply for aid of up to 23 000 euros

Since Wednesday, 23 April, farmers affected by bluetongue and farms affected by natural disasters have been able to open up a cash flow aid file, which is essential for many farmers, after a particularly difficult year of 2024.

The order will allow farmers and livestock farmers to repair the damage suffered on their farms by their own means or through suppliers or companies in the area, as the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA) has pointed out in a statement, setting a subsidy whose amounts vary according to the intensity of the damage in the area in which the affected plots are located and ranging from 5,200 to 9,900 euros per hectare.
